Lakewood Ranch Announces Four New Waterside Place Tenants

New 299-Unit Luxury Apartment Complex Set to Open in Waterside This Month

LAKEWOOD RANCH, FLA. (May 16, 2019) – Lakewood Ranch, the nation’s best-selling multi-generational master-planned community, has announced four new tenants will open in the community’s 36-acre Waterside Place development, which is currently under construction and set to debut in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The new tenants include Korê, Derek The Salon, PAINT Nail Bar and SmithLaw, which join previously announced Foundation Coffee Co., The Yoga Shack, SoFresh and Kilwins.

In addition, The Adley at Lakewood Ranch Waterside, is scheduled to open this month. The pet-friendly development will offer 299 one-, two- and three-bedroom units starting at $1,400 per month, as well as a suite of resort-style amenities, including a two-story fitness center, a relaxing saltwater pool with a sundeck, and a screened-in outdoor kitchen with lounge seating.

When complete, Waterside Place will serve as the heart of Waterside, Lakewood Ranch’s newest village – which is situated around seven pristine lakes with 20 miles of shoreline and acres of nature preserve – as well as the entire Manatee and Sarasota area. It will blend lifestyle and the arts with 115,000 square feet of unique in-line and freestanding commercial, retail and office space; diverse dining options; an eight-acre park; and miles of nature trails.

Korê, a new Asian restaurant concept by the owners of JPan Sushi & Grill, will open its first location in Waterside Place. This first-to-market eatery will feature Korean barbeque prepared tableside, a sushi bar, and an upscale cocktail lounge with a unique selection of Japanese whiskey.

“Korê will deliver the palate pleasing flavors that Jpan Sushi & Grill customers have come to love, and also offer unique dishes that diners would likely find in larger metropolitan cities like New York and San Francisco,” said Daniel Dokko, founder of Jpan Sushi & Grill and Korê. “I’m excited to debut this concept in such a supportive community, which I’m fortunate to call home.”

Founded in 2015, Derek The Salon will feature a professional team of artistic visionaries, many with more than 15 years of experience, who offer unparalleled advice and skills along with services ranging from hair treatments, cuts and extensions, to cutting edge styling, color treatments and up-dos. The upscale Waterside Place boutique will be Derek The Salon’s second in the area, and is set to become a relaxing retreat for Lakewood Ranch residents and visitors.

Established in 2015, PAINT Nail Bar is a popular franchise with salons across the U.S., exuding the qualities of a chic home, complete with rustic wood floors, ceramic basins and elegant chandeliers. Guests will enjoy affordable luxury services and impeccable customer service. The salon also offers waterless pedicures and “chip-free” gel manicures using best-in class products that are vegan friendly and “five-free,” providing a healthier alternative to the chemicals in regular nail polish.

Relocating to Waterside Place from Sarasota, SmithLaw is a general practice law firm representing individuals, estates and small businesses throughout the state. The practice’s group of respected and experienced attorneys and paralegals offer clients personal and efficient service with a team approach to every case. Many clients are lifelong customers.

“We look forward to welcoming these exceptional new tenants to Waterside Place,” said Kirk Boylston, president of LWR Commercial. “We continue to foster relationships with new retailers and encourage others to inquire about opportunities to join this dynamic town center.”

Situated on a 36-acre peninsula overlooking the mile-wide Kingfisher Lake, Waterside Place includes numerous unique communal parks and “pop-out” spaces, which will encourage gathering and interaction among visitors and businesses. The town center will further activate the dynamic area by hosting festivals, farmers’ markets, and more.

A major cultural offering at Waterside Place will be The Players Centre for the Performing Arts. The iconic local theater company is moving from its 80-year home in downtown Sarasota to an expanded, 70,000 square-foot performing arts center at Waterside Place.

In total, Waterside will feature more than 5,000 homes in up to 12 neighborhoods, which will be connected to Waterside Place via trails and water taxis. Nearly 170 homes in the area have already been sold ahead of the town center’s anticipated opening next year.

Founded in 1994, Lakewood Ranch spans more than 31,000 acres and includes more than 36,000 residents in over 20 villages. Now celebrating its 25-year anniversary, The Ranch is consistently rated as one of the best-selling master-planned communities in the country by both RCLCO and John Burns Real Estate Consulting, two independent real estate consulting firms.
