Services are performed by knowledgeable, highly trained staff who use the finest cosmeceutical skin care from Environ, as well as organic luxury skin and body care from VOYA.

Modish Salon is a creative space where independent hair stylists unite over their passions for hair cutting, coloring, extensions and styling. Modish stylists are known for fine-tuning their skills by traveling to top conventions and classes and returning with the latest trends in hair care. Since opening in early 2020 in Sarasota, the salon has been recognized as the “#1 salon for invisible bead extensions” world-wide. Waterside Place will be their second location.

Set to open this summer, Marmalade Waterside Boutique, John Cannon Homes, Integrity Sound, and Capstan Financial will add to the area’s diverse offerings:

Marmalade Waterside Boutique will offer residents and visitors a space where beauty and fashion mix with laughter, inspiration, and imagination to promote a happy lifestyle. Marmalade’s new boutique at Waterside Place is the third – and largest – location, following its flagship storefront in Sarasota and beachside location on Siesta Key. The boutique will feature a curated lifestyle collection of cool home decor and furnishings, free-spirited women’s apparel, bohemian bling, and unique gifts.

With more than 350 industry honors for homes built in over 100 prestigious communities, John Cannon Homes has set the standard for quality in luxury custom home building in Southwest Florida. In anticipation of the Kingfisher Estates opening at Lakewood Ranch, John Cannon Homes will be displaying room vignettes with custom high-end finishes in its retail space at Waterside Place. The transitional-style room designs will showcase cabinetry, countertops, ceiling details, flooring, tile and fireplace options for kitchen, living room, dining room, office, master bathroom and outdoor kitchen (cabana/bar) spaces.

Integrity Sound offers expert technology and electrical solutions for homes and businesses in Southwest Florida and beyond. The company specializes in electrical, home automation, audio video, networks, lighting, motorized window treatment and security integration, priding itself on seeing projects through to completion and providing long term service and support. The 1,550 square-foot store will feature a unique design concept featuring realistic home and office settings.

Capstan Financial was founded to provide comprehensive financial services and the highest degree of personal attention to individual and institutional clients. The firm uses a team-focused approach to ensure professional guidance, preparation and responsiveness through all stages of life, regardless of market conditions. The company’s new, 3,500 square-foot location at Waterside Place will be its first satellite office expansion, featuring plenty of natural light, lake views, two outdoor covered balconies, and fully functional technology to host world-class meetings.

Additional tenants set to open in Waterside Place by the end of the year include O&A Coffee Supply, CROP Juice, The Yoga Shack, Body Bar Pilates, Man Cave for Men, Bay Area Aesthetics, Duck Donuts, authentic Italian restaurant Osteria 500, Mexican-American restaurant and tequileria Agave Bandido, and Korê, a new Asian restaurant concept featuring Korean barbeque and an upscale cocktail lounge.

Later this year, Forked at Waterside and Good Liquid Distillery are also expected to open locations.

Recently named the “Best Lifestyle Program in the U.S.” by the National Association of Homebuilders, the vibrant lifestyle and suburban location at Waterside Place is an ideal location for many brands.

“We’re thrilled Waterside Place is officially open and visitors can finally experience our curated, eclectic mix of tenants,” said Kirk Boylston, president of Lakewood Ranch Commercial. “The businesses, restaurants and retail shops we’ve brought to the area are among the best and will provide plenty of opportunities for entertainment, relaxation, home improvement and more.”

As it continues to welcome additional businesses, Waterside Place will embody the essence of Lakewood Ranch, serving as a retail, dining, wellness and entertainment hub with waterfront charm. Whether guests are looking to enjoy a morning coffee and jog along the nature trails or opt for an evening “Ranch Nite Wednesday” lakeside concert followed by dinner and craft beers with friends, Waterside Place will appeal to a variety of lifestyles and interests.

The town center is already activated with festivals, music, and sporting activities, and is home to the Farmers’ Market at Lakewood Ranch, further connecting local farmers and artisans with area residents and their guests. Additionally, Lakewood Ranch is working with Waterside Place tenants to create custom programming tailored to their consumers.

Founded in 1994, Lakewood Ranch spans over 20 villages and is consistently rated as one of the best-selling master-planned communities in the country by both RCLCO and John Burns Real Estate Consulting, two independent real estate consulting firms. In July of 2021, Lakewood Ranch was named the best-selling, master-planned community in the country according to RCLCO’s mid-year rankings. In January, both firms designated Lakewood Ranch as the best-selling master-planned community in the U.S. for the second year in a row.

RANCH RECEIVES NATIONAL GOLD AWARD FOR LIFESTYLE

RANCH RECEIVES NATIONAL GOLD AWARD FOR LIFESTYLE

Lakewood Ranch was recognized with a gold award for best lifestyle program by the National Association of Home Builders’ National Sales and Marketing Council at its recent annual 2022 awards ceremony.

Lakewood Ranch’s Waterside Place was awarded the top honor for community lifestyle program of the year. Waterside Place is home to the popular Lakewood Ranch Farmers’ Market, which draws more than 5,000 visitors each week, and Ranch Nite Wednesdays, which hosts a food truck rally and the largest amateur cornhole league in the state, as well as a night market on the second Wednesday of each month. The lakeside town center has quickly become a beloved destination for the community since opening at the end of 2021.

The Waterside Place program is part of Lakewood Ranch’s overall emphasis on lifestyle, which includes two other town centers, a sports campus, nine community parks,  150 miles of sidewalks and trails, more than 60 clubs, and a parks and recreation program. Activities include both virtual and in-person options, and range in age from toddlers to Boomers. There are also annual festivals and celebrations like the Irish Celtic Fest, Tribute to Heroes Parade, Boo Fest, and Holidays Around the Ranch.

“Lifestyle is one of the primary drivers when prospective buyers are choosing where to live,” said Laura Cole, senior vice president of LWR Communities. “People select the community first, then the home. There has been a growing emphasis on creating and nurturing a multi-faceted lifestyle experience within Lakewood Ranch, including markets, sports leagues, holiday celebrations, clubs, and classes. This focus is a prime contributor to the fact that Lakewood Ranch was named the best-selling master-planned community for all ages in the country for 2021.”

The awards, known as “The Nationals,” honor the best in the building industry for “their determination, integrity, creativity and resilience.” Started in 1982 as the Institute of Residential Marketing Awards, The Nationals recognizes honorees across various disciplines of the new home industry by individuals and sales teams. During a four-day judging process, a panel of 13 industry professionals from across the country determined the award winners from a field of over 1200 entries.

Agave Bandido to Bring Fresh Mexican-Inspired Cuisine and Cocktails

Agave Bandido to Bring Fresh Mexican-Inspired Cuisine and Cocktails to Waterside Place at Lakewood Ranch

LAKEWOOD RANCH, FLA. (FEB. 17, 2022) – Mexican-inspired restaurant and tequileria Agave Bandido is the latest restaurant to join the offerings at Waterside Place, with a planned opening in late 2022.

The 4,000 square-foot restaurant will feature a beautiful indoor bar as its focal point, offering more than 250 tequilas and mezcals. The 2,000 square feet of patio space boasts a separate outdoor bar with a picturesque backdrop of the lake.

Conceptualized by Wolverine Management President Mathew Baum and Chief Operating Officer Matt Faul, Agave Bandido will bring a vibrant, city-inspired dining atmosphere to Lakewood Ranch. The duo says most of their personal decision-making inspired the aesthetics of Agave Bandido. Everything from the way food is served to the bar layout is determined based upon what they would prefer as consumers.

“Our focus has always been to grow in highly sought-after suburban areas, which may have minimal hip locations for dining and nightlife,” says Baum. “People want to have an exciting dining experience without driving half an hour into the city. Agave Bandido’s cuisine and atmosphere will offer those lively downtown elements conveniently close to home.”

Recently named the “Best Lifestyle Program in the U.S” by the National Association of Homebuilders, Waterside Place’s vibrant lifestyle and suburban Lakewood Ranch location was the logical location for its second restaurant.

Adds Faul, “What excited us most about Lakewood Ranch is its strong sense of community and emphasis on events and lifestyle, which is what we’re all about. Waterside Place is the perfect location for our fun, energetic brand.”

Agave Bandido at Waterside Place will offer patrons handmade cocktails and a full menu of dishes made in-house daily with fresh ingredients. The restaurant will feature many of the same design aesthetics as its flagship location in Pembroke Pines, Fla., including eye-catching murals and décor.

“Our mantra, when it comes to leasing restauranteurs at Waterside Place, is to look for only best-in-class,” said Kirk Boylston, president of Lakewood Ranch Commercial. “The goal is to transform Waterside Place into a regional foodie destination where residents and visitors can enjoy a diverse array of culinary experiences. We’re thrilled to welcome Agave Bandido’s Mexican-inspired cuisine and know the restaurant will be an exciting addition to the Lakewood Ranch lifestyle.”

Waterside Place serves as the heart of Waterside – Lakewood Ranch’s first Sarasota village – and offers an elevated community experience that extends beyond that of a traditional town center. Waterside Place at Lakewood Ranch welcomes first brewpub

Restaurant News: Waterside Place at Lakewood Ranch welcomes first brewpub

The brewpub also has a sister location that opened four years ago in Bradenton.

    Lee McCall

    Sarasota Herald-Tribune

Good Liquid Brewing Co. has opened at Waterside Place, Lakewood Ranch’s first village in Sarasota County.

The brewpub also has a sister location, which opened four years ago, in Bradenton’s Fountain Plaza on 14th Street West. Joe Guli, a chef who once worked with Wolfgang Puck and is currently CEO of the Sarasota-based Tableseide Restaurant Group (Libby’s, Circo), partnered with Mike and Sandra Krail, co-owners of the original Bradenton Good Liquid Brewing Co., in the new venture.

The Waterside Place location has seating for 175 inside and out on a large patio. The brewpub’s philosophy is “life is too short to drink bad liquid” and the brewery’s success is achieved by following a core brewing process while adding creative ingredients, according to a press notice.

Among the many beers offered are the Mixed Berry Jalapeno Cream Ale, The Fruity Bits Milkshake IPA and the Coconut Key Lime Sour. Brewmaster Mike Krail and his team of brew tenders also make cocktails from a wine and spirits assortment. The lake-front pub’s food menu includes black and blue sliders, avocado egg rolls, cast-iron meatballs, smoked ribs, beer can nachos and full entrees.

Good Liquid Brewing Co., at 1570 Lakefront Drive, Lakewood Ranch, is currently open from 4 to 9 p.m. with plans for adding lunch hours. For more information, call 941-253-0423 or visit goodliquidbrewingcompany.com.

LAKEWOOD RANCH REMAINS THE BEST-SELLING ALL-AGES COMMUNITY IN THE NATION

LAKEWOOD RANCH REMAINS THE BEST-SELLING ALL-AGES COMMUNITY IN THE NATION

Lakewood Ranch had another record-setting sales year, bolstered by the opening of new villages, its third town center, expanded restaurant and retail offerings, and plans for new schools and a public library.

The Ranch saw 2,574 new home sales in 2021, up from 2,149 in 2020 – a 20 percent increase year-over-year and the best sales year on record. Lakewood Ranch was recognized as the best-selling, master-planned multi-generational community in the country for the fourth year in a row by RCLCO and John Burns, two independent real estate consulting firms.

Much excitement centered on Waterside Place, which is on its way to becoming one of the area’s most popular dining, retail, and experiential destinations. Lakewood Ranch’s newest town center opened for business in November, featuring not only shops and restaurants but becoming the new home of The Farmers’ Market and Ranch Nite Wednesdays, perennial favorites of the community for more than four years.

Waterside Place is the centerpiece of Waterside Village, located in the Sarasota County portion of The Ranch. Waterside currently offers single family homes in LakeHouse Cove and Shoreview as well as rental townhomes, apartments, and senior living options in a variety of waterfront neighborhoods.  Demand has been extremely brisk for Waterside and builders will be introducing townhomes, cottages, single family rentals, and large custom homes in the next phase of development.

Sales were robust throughout the more than 20 actively-selling villages in Lakewood Ranch – including newly opened Esplanade and Park East at Azario, Lorraine Lakes, Sapphire Point, and Solera – with the range of housing types and pricing addressing the growing demand. New models also opened in LakeHouse Cove, Savanna, and The Lake Club. Star Farms and Sweetwater both broke ground in 2021, with models opening in 2022. Furthering the multi-generational culture, more senior and assisted living options are being explored, to serve the growing needs of families who move to Lakewood Ranch with their aging parents.

“Lakewood Ranch was in a strong position to capitalize on migration trends boosted by the pandemic,” said Laura Cole, senior vice president of LWR Communities, LLC., the residential arm of Lakewood Ranch. “Our housing diversity, multi-generational appeal, and expanded amenities drew buyers from high tax markets across the U.S., buyers with accelerated retirement plans, and buyers untethered to their jobs.”  “We have not seen a slowdown in prospect activity in recent months,” Cole continued, “however buyers are gaining acceptance of the longer lead and build times for new homes as well as price increases, all induced by the pandemic’s labor and supply woes.” The average price of a new home in Lakewood Ranch in 2021 was $609k, 19% above 2020’s average price. Base pricing for new homes on www.LakewoodRanch.com starts at $263k and goes well above $2 million.

Activity in the multi-family housing market has surged as well, with new apartment offerings at The Summerhouse and Botanic, and Artesia, a single-family rental development, with much more to come. Leading the nation in the build-to-rent space, The Ranch has seven single family rental projects in various stages of leasing and development, segmented to meet a broad spectrum of the market, from workforce to luxury.

The Ranch’s growing population has driven expanded educational offerings. Additions to the existing Lakewood Ranch High School and R. Dan Nolan Middle School are planned, and a new K-8 school is scheduled to be finished by 2024. The Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy, a new K-12 charter school, projects a lower school opening in the fall of 2022, with construction of the high school to start in 2023.

The County, recognizing the population shift, broke ground in Lakewood Ranch for the newest library in the Manatee County system in December, and plans were announced for expanding the Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch, including a new aquatic center.

Lakewood Ranch’s award-winning lifestyle program also expanded, including large community events, more community groups and clubs, virtual programming, and the addition of a dynamic parks and recreation program.

Lakewood Ranch’s commercial landscape grew by leaps and bounds as well, with numerous new restaurants, retail stores, and office space opening or breaking ground, including both local and national names.
